Italian Corner is currently hiring for a Kitchen Prep Team Member for the morning shift from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This role is essential to maintaining the deli’s high standards of food preparation and overall kitchen operations. The kitchen operates seven days a week, with the expectation that candidates will be available to work both weekend days, ensuring consistent quality and service throughout the week. The Kitchen Prep Team Member will be responsible for preparing ingredients that are the foundation of Italian Corner’s deli offerings. This includes prepping items for the sandwich line, as well as the raw materials used in the production of homemade soups, sauces, and salads. The position requires a candidate who can excel both independently and within a collaborative team environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and efficient time management.

Key skills needed for this role include proficient knife handling and the ability to follow detailed prep lists and standardized recipes accurately, preserving the authentic Italian flavors that Italian Corner is known for. The position also demands adherence to strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain the deli’s reputation for cleanliness and quality. As part of maintaining the kitchen’s efficiency and hygiene, duties such as washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper disposal of waste are integral parts of the role.
