Job Description

CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, which bring together families and communities through fun, food, and play. Chuck E. Cheese celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, creating joyful and lasting memories by offering a safe and engaging environment where kids can simply be kids. The company's dedication to safety includes programs like Kid Check® and extensive support for schools and nonprofits, with donations exceeding $24 million. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese has been recognized for its industry leadership, having received the "Best in STEM" award and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025, which underscores its commitment to innovation and employee well-being.

Peter Piper Pizza complements this family-friendly entertainment experience by offering neighborhood pizzerias with quality food, engaging entertainment, and lasting memories. Their philosophy of "The Fun is Baked In" ensures that fun is an integral part of every visit, supported by attractions that promote physical wellness and help strengthen children's motor skills. Operating nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and fun to unite families nationally and internationally.

The Kitchen Prep and Utility Team Member role at CEC Entertainment is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the heart of the restaurant operations, particularly within its Peter Piper Pizza brand. Team members are essential in preparing orders, assisting with food prep, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy setting where collaboration and hard work ensure that every guest leaves happy. An outstanding aspect of this role is the chance to cross-train in various facets of restaurant operations, including guest service and cash handling, providing a foundation for career development within the company. This dedication to internal growth is evident as 70% of the management team is promoted from within, highlighting the company’s commitment to nurturing its employees' potential.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with commission structures varying based on exempt or non-exempt status. Exempt employees can earn commissions ranging from $0.50 to $10.00 for each membership sold, and $0.15 to $3.00 for each Fun Pass sold, paid out bi-weekly. Non-exempt employees have commission potentials of $2.00 to $8.00 per membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, also paid bi-weekly unless state laws specify otherwise. Additionally, the company offers its popular "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, providing early access to earned wages and eliminating the wait between paychecks.

CEC Entertainment is deeply committed to employee health and well-being, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Support extends beyond traditional benefits with access to telemedicine, an employee assistance program (EAP), tuition savings and scholarship opportunities, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees averaging more than 29.5 hours per week enjoy even more extensive coverage including paid sick and vacation time, holidays where applicable, flexible spending accounts, legal coverage, and additional educational assistance. The company also ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding paid sick leave and other benefits.

CEC Entertainment values diversity and inclusion, striving to create a workforce that reflects the broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of the guests they serve. The company is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination based on race, ancestry, color, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected class under federal, state, or local laws.

Working as a Kitchen Prep and Utility Team Member provides more than just employment; it offers a pathway to build a rewarding career in a vibrant, supportive environment where every day brings new opportunities and where your contributions directly impact the fun and enjoyment of families across the nation. Join CEC Entertainment and be part of a team that values growth, diversity, and most importantly, creating unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages.
