Job Description

Founded in 1994, Haidilao has evolved into an internationally acclaimed hotpot restaurant brand with a robust presence across multiple countries including China, Singapore, the U.S., South Korea, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia. With over 935 chain restaurants globally by mid-2020 and more than 1400 locations worldwide as of today, Haidilao epitomizes quality dining experiences and exceptional customer service. Known for blending diverse regional characteristics of hot pot from various parts of China, the company takes pride in upholding integrity in business while relentlessly enhancing the quality, safety, and nutritional value of its food products.

Haidilao is now seeking a dedicated Kitchen Prep team member to join their dynamic back-of-house kitchen team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on producing high-quality food items with precision and accuracy while strictly adhering to food safety and quality assurance procedures. As a Kitchen Prep employee, you will engage in daily food preparation activities, including ingredient preparation, station setup, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen. You will be expected to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, perform meticulous opening and closing duties, and contribute proactively to sustaining the company’s high standards for hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Working in a vibrant and fast-paced kitchen environment, the ideal candidate will have experience in cooking or kitchen prep, possess the California Food Handler Certificate, and demonstrate the ability to anticipate the needs of the kitchen team. The job entails physical demands such as lifting up to 40 pounds, standing and walking for extended shifts, and working in varying temperature conditions. Communication skills are important, with fluency in English required and additional language skills in Mandarin or Spanish preferred.

This employment offers opportunities to work within a global brand that values employee welfare through benefits including meal provisions, employee discounts across all Haidilao locations, medical insurance for full-time staff, and even birthday celebrations to cherish team members. If you have a passion for culinary arts, enjoy teamwork, and strive for excellence in food quality and safety, Haidilao provides a rewarding career path in a well-established and rapidly growing international enterprise.
