Job Requirements
- 0-2 years related experience
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
- Ability to lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and handle objects as required
- Ability to taste, smell, and communicate verbally
- Must maintain high standards of grooming and hygiene
- Must comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0-2 years of related experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Detail-oriented with strong menu knowledge
- Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for the kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Follow recipe and storyboards to prepare foods according to preparation methods
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene
- Understand and comply with standard portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- Unpack and organize received goods in a timely manner
- Prepare menu items using plating recipes when ordered
- Report equipment and food quality problems to management promptly
- Use prep list and hot box chart with the manager to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow all safety procedures when using equipment
- Assist in other job categories as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned
