Job Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to verbally communicate
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of related experience in a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity
  • Strong menu knowledge
  • Ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
  • Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Follow recipe and storyboards to prepare foods according to proper preparation methods
  • Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming, wash hands frequently, and wear gloves to prevent bare hand contact
  • Unpack and organize received goods in a timely manner
  • Prepare menu items using plating recipes when ordered
  • Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to management
  • Utilize tools including the prep list and hot box chart in conjunction with the manager to ensure timely delivery of products needed for service
  • Follow all safety procedures when using equipment
  • Assist in other job categories as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
