Job Requirements
- 0-2 years related experience
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to taste and smell
- Ability to verbally communicate
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of related experience in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity
- Strong menu knowledge
- Ability to accurately read, organize, and coordinate tickets
- Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Follow recipe and storyboards to prepare foods according to proper preparation methods
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming, wash hands frequently, and wear gloves to prevent bare hand contact
- Unpack and organize received goods in a timely manner
- Prepare menu items using plating recipes when ordered
- Promptly report equipment and food quality problems to management
- Utilize tools including the prep list and hot box chart in conjunction with the manager to ensure timely delivery of products needed for service
- Follow all safety procedures when using equipment
- Assist in other job categories as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned
