Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • culinary training preferred but not required
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of kitchen management and safety
  • effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manage, train, and supervise kitchen staff
  • coordinate daily culinary operations
  • oversee daily kitchen activities for efficient service and quality
  • forecast food consumption and procure supplies
  • select and standardize recipes
  • establish presentation techniques and quality benchmarks
  • ensure kitchen equipment is maintained
  • maintain sanitation and safety practices
  • manage special catering events
  • mentor junior kitchen staff
