The Kitchen Operations Manager at Aramark plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of kitchen activities within a professional food service environment. Reporting to the General Manager, this position focuses on the leadership and management of kitchen personnel, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of culinary excellence and customer service. The Kitchen Operations Manager is responsible for managing team development, upholding safety compliance, and nurturing strong client partnerships to create a memorable dining experience for guests. This role also entails achieving financial objectives by effectively executing company programs and operational strategies.

In this position, the Kitchen Operations Manager supervises daily kitchen operations, trains and mentors kitchen staff, and ensures the consistent quality of meals served. They are actively involved in menu and recipe development, including forecasting food consumption, procuring supplies, and standardizing recipes to maintain presentation and quality benchmarks. Maintenance of kitchen equipment and adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations are also essential duties. The Kitchen Operations Manager takes charge of coordinating special catering events and sharing culinary expertise with junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the kitchen team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in culinary or kitchen leadership
  • 2-3 years post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environments
  • culinary training preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a related culinary or kitchen leadership role
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent professional experience
  • culinary training preferred but not required
  • strong knowledge of food service principles and kitchen management
  • proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments
  • effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills
