Job Description
Bobby Jones Links is a distinguished club management and development company established in 2000 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Specializing in managing private, resort, daily fee, and public golf courses, Bobby Jones Links is deeply committed to creating exceptional experiences for members, guests, and employees alike. The company prides itself on a strong ethos grounded in its core values: Make People Happy, Do What You Say, Strive for Excellence, Be Driven, and Grow Every Day. These guiding principles not only shape the company’s culture but also guide its operational success and dedication to excellence. The influence of Bobby Jones, a legendary figure in golf, resonates throughout the company’s practices, inspired by his famous maxim, “The secret of golf is to turn three shots into two.” This pursuit of excellence defines the quality and service Bobby Jones Links offers across its managed courses.
One of the prominent locations under Bobby Jones Links management is Augusta Municipal Golf Course, affectionately known as The Patch. Opened in 1928, The Patch is a historic and cherished community landmark for golf enthusiasts and locals. In 2023, an exciting partnership was formed between Masters Tournament Charities, Augusta Technical College, and The First Tee of Augusta to revitalize The Patch. This renewal has preserved its legacy while modernizing the facility to serve future generations. The Patch features a redesigned 18-hole course crafted by renowned golf course architects Tom Fazio and Beau Welling. Additionally, it boasts a unique 9-hole short course called The Loop at The Patch, designed by none other than Tiger Woods and TGR Design, further elevating the venue’s status in the golfing community.
The Patch is now seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join its vibrant team. This position is crucial in maintaining the kitchen’s reputation for delivering exceptional, high-quality cuisine that is both visually appealing and financially successful. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in overseeing all food production activities and managing kitchen staff, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and sanitation. This leadership role requires proficiency in managing budgets, directing culinary operations, and fostering a positive and efficient team environment.
The Kitchen Manager at The Patch will be responsible for operating within budgeted payroll constraints while adjusting staffing needs in response to fluctuating sales. The manager will guide kitchen staff through meal preparation, creative plating, and timely delivery, emphasizing consistency in food quality and presentation. Collaboration with the front-of-house service team is essential to guarantee quick service times and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, this role involves integrating safe food handling protocols and training culinary staff to uphold the esteemed Bobby Jones Links culinary standards.
The ideal candidate must exhibit strong leadership skills, positive energy, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the kitchen environment supports exceptional dining experiences. Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Club Point of Sales systems is required to manage inventory, ordering, and scheduling effectively. Physical stamina is also important, as the kitchen environment can be fast-paced and physically demanding. The Patch offers a dynamic working atmosphere where the Kitchen Manager’s expertise and passion for culinary excellence will directly impact the satisfaction of guests while contributing to the company’s longstanding tradition of golf and hospitality excellence.
