Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a steward
  • Knowledgeable of best practices for receiving, ordering, and inventory procedures
  • Ability to multitask and remain in control in a high volume, fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Basic computer knowledge including Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Receive and inspect all incoming products to ensure proper temperature, quality, and freshness, following food safety standards
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by properly storing, rotating, and tracking products, and processing invoices with correct payment procedures
  • Place and manage orders using the ordering system and direct call-ins, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of supplies
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards by keeping the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with all health department regulations
  • Supervise team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure a well-maintained and efficient operation
