Job Description

As a company, Quality Greens Kitchen is dedicated to making wholesome eating convenient, accessible, and enjoyable for all customers. The restaurant’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community values sets it apart in the highly competitive fast-casual dining market. Located in New York City, Quality Greens Kitchen prides itself on its vibrant menu options that prioritize nutrition without sacrificing flavor or customer satisfaction.

The role of Kitchen Manager at Quality Greens Kitchen is a critical leadership position designed for a highly motivated and organized individual with strong culinary expertise and people management skills. This position requires hands-on involvement in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure that all food preparation, production, and service meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. The Kitchen Manager will oversee the kitchen staff, scheduling shifts and providing coaching to maintain a motivated and efficient team. With a key focus on food safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations, this role is vital in maintaining a clean and safe back-of-house work environment.

The Kitchen Manager collaborates closely with ownership and management teams to contribute to menu planning and operational improvements, ensuring the restaurant continues to innovate and meet customer demands. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all catering orders, ensuring they meet the same quality and presentation standards as in-house dining.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in New York City, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $22.00 depending on experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in kitchen management or supervision, preferably with some background in catering. Certification in food protection, such as the NYC Food Protection Certificate or ServSafe Certificate, is a must. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow with a progressive, values-driven restaurant that champions farm-to-table principles and healthy eating habits.
