The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role at Prime Pizza, overseeing the daily culinary operations and ensuring that the back of house team delivers superior quality products and an outstanding guest experience. This full-time salaried position offers an annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000, complemented by a quarterly bonus starting at 10 percent, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding high performance and dedication. As the leader of the kitchen, the Kitchen Manager is responsible for executing the entire menu with consistency and excellence while adhering to brand standards and guidelines.

This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, including managing, coaching, and developing a diverse team of culinary professionals. The Kitchen Manager collaborates closely with the General Manager to create a positive work environment that emphasizes best practices, clear expectations, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include overseeing the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of kitchen facilities in compliance with state and local health regulations. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager handles purchasing, inventory control, recipe development, and financial oversight to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably.

The position demands a strong focus on operational performance, including managing food and labor costs, conducting inventory audits, and reviewing financial reports such as monthly profit and loss statements. Working conditions are fast-paced and demanding, often requiring shifts during weekends, holidays, and extended hours that range from 8 to 12 hours per day. The Kitchen Manager must be physically capable of working in a standing position for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical tasks such as bending and reaching.

Job Requirements

  • be able to work standing for up to 10 hours

Job Qualifications

  • college degree in business or related field or at least 3 years of kitchen management
  • experience in training, developing, and leading teams of 15-20 employees
  • experience with ordering, receiving, and controlling inventory preferred
  • strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • high level of accountability
  • excellent basic math skills and ability to operate POS systems

Job Duties

  • manage daily culinary operations to ensure high-quality food production
  • direct and lead the back of house team to deliver superior guest experiences
  • maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure cleanliness of kitchen facilities
  • oversee purchasing, inventory control, and food handling practices
  • develop and maintain recipes and production standards for all menu items
