Job Requirements

  • ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 10 hours
  • ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings
  • experience managing kitchen operations
  • knowledge of state and local health guidelines and food safety regulations
  • capability to conduct staff training and provide coaching

Job Qualifications

  • college degree in business or related field or at least 3 years of kitchen management
  • experience in training, developing, and leading teams of 15-20 employees
  • experience with ordering, receiving, and controlling inventory preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • team player
  • high level of accountability
  • excellent basic math skills
  • ability to operate a POS system

Job Duties

  • deliver the highest level of execution for guest experience, superior product and hospitality
  • ensure the kitchen follows company guidelines and best practices
  • foster an environment of diversity and inclusion
  • provide leadership to the kitchen team in collaboration with the general manager
  • conduct weekly staff meetings to discuss improvements and recognize achievements
  • lead the operation to ensure optimal performance
  • maintain the facility and equipment according to health guidelines
  • manage purchasing for food and supplies
  • control inventory levels and food handling practices
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
  • develop recipes and production standards
  • hire and maintain kitchen staffing levels
  • provide training and development
  • deliver coaching and counseling
  • conduct timely performance reviews
  • support payroll and timekeeping
  • drive financial performance by managing food and labor costs
  • conduct inventory and reporting with finance
  • review monthly profit and loss statements
