Job Description
Chick-fil-A is a renowned leader in the fast-food restaurant industry, widely recognized for its commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional customer service. Since its inception, the company has focused on delivering fresh and simple ingredients, staying true to a philosophy that values authenticity and nutritional excellence. Chick-fil-A customers enjoy chicken that is whole breast meat, without any added fillers or hormones, and every piece is breaded by hand in the restaurant kitchens. The company takes pride in sourcing fresh produce delivered multiple times a week, ensuring salads and other menu items are prepared freshly throughout the day. Unique menu offerings such as the iconic Chick-fil-A Lemonade® are crafted by freshly squeezing whole lemons, combined with pure cane sugar and water, reflecting the brand’s dedication to quality and natural flavors. Chick-fil-A's culture emphasizes going above and beyond the easy path to maintain the high standards it is known for nationwide.
Growing with this dedication to excellence, Chick-fil-A also focuses heavily on leadership development within its teams. The company hires leadership professionals driven to expand their skill portfolio and career growth opportunities within the organization. With a fast-paced growth environment, Chick-fil-A nurtures leaders who are committed to continuously developing both their skills and those of their colleagues, creating a collaborative and dynamic workplace culture.

This full-time position, requiring open availability and approximately 40 hours per week, plays a crucial role in overseeing the kitchen team's performance. The Kitchen Manager's responsibilities extend to training, coaching, and motivating employees to pursue operational excellence and foster a positive work environment. They act as the linchpin between kitchen operations and restaurant leadership, continually pushing for high standards in food safety, quality management, and service speed. This role champions the implementation of robust food safety systems and ensures meticulous adherence to holding, inventory, and cost controls. The Kitchen Manager is also responsible for managing labor schedules, optimizing kitchen resource allocation, and reducing food waste to maximize profitability.
Moreover, Chick-fil-A values adaptability in its Kitchen Managers, expecting them to seamlessly shift between hands-on leadership during peak times and supervisory roles when customer flow stabilizes. This flexibility is key to maintaining a motivated and high-functioning kitchen team. The manager must also be proactive in conducting thorough inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food quality standards, ensuring the restaurant consistently meets company and regulatory guidelines.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Kitchen Manager at Chick-fil-A is tasked with building strong relationships within their multicultural team. Effective communication of kitchen goals and successes to leadership, supervisors, and team members is paramount. The role requires a passionate leader who not only encourages teamwork but actively participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluations aligned with Chick-fil-A’s organizational vision and annual objectives.
