Currently, we are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our Back of House operations at our Cranston location. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, safety, and efficiency while ensuring our kitchen staff performs effectively and collaboratively. The Kitchen Manager will oversee every aspect of kitchen activities, from purchasing and receiving ingredients to preparing and presenting dishes according to established recipes and quality standards. This leadership role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and an unwavering commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.
As the Kitchen Manager, you will supervise kitchen staff, implementing thorough evaluations, coaching sessions, and training programs to develop their skills and enhance team performance. You will be responsible for monitoring kitchen productivity, managing labor costs, and controlling food waste to ensure that we maintain profitability without compromising quality. The role also involves creating weekly schedules, assigning daily tasks, and overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Our organization offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 annually for this full-time position. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a kitchen supervisory position
- Understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and dedication to food quality and team success

Job Duties
- Supervise and oversee food preparation to ensure consistency with recipes and quality standards
- Enforce compliance with company policies, cleanliness, and guest safety
- Monitor kitchen productivity to maintain efficient ticket times and prompt service
- Manage performance of Back of House staff through evaluations, coaching, and development
- Conduct taste and temperature checks to ensure food safety and inventory management
- Oversee safe handling, maintenance, and storage of kitchen ingredients and equipment
- Control food waste and manage labor costs to maximize profitability
- Create schedules, assign tasks, and direct kitchen workflow
- Train employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Recruit, interview, and hire Back of House talent
- Foster a safe, clean, and collaborative work environment
