As a Kitchen Manager at Casey's, you will be a hands-on leader and an integral part of the store leadership team. Partnering closely with the Store Manager, your primary responsibility will be to train, guide, and engage kitchen Team Members to consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience. Your role is crucial for managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, with a strong emphasis on maintaining food safety standards and a clean, organized kitchen environment. You will manage inventory accurately to ensure stock levels meet operational needs without excess waste, optimizing profitability.

Furthermore, you will oversee activities within the prepared foods and dispensed beverage sections, effectively influencing these operations to maximize productivity. Accountability for upholding Casey’s CARES values—including Commitment, Authenticity, Respect, Evolving, and Service—will form a key part of your leadership approach. You are expected to delegate tasks, provide coaching for success, and resolve guest concerns proactively, always keeping the Store Manager informed of any issues or opportunities. In addition to leadership duties, you will occasionally perform Store Team Member responsibilities to support seamless operations during busy periods.

Job Duties

  • Actively train, guide, and engage kitchen Team Members, delegate tasks effectively, and coach for success
  • Under the supervision of the Store Manager, manage and influence operational activities in prepared foods and dispensed beverages to optimize performance
  • Partner with the Store Manager to be accountable for all kitchen activities, maintaining 5S standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Oversee kitchen inventory and maintain accurate stock levels
  • Anticipate and resolve guest concerns related to kitchen service, keeping the Store Manager informed
  • Model and coach to Casey's CARES values: Commitment, Authenticity, Respect, Evolving, Service
  • Proficiently perform Store Team Member duties when needed
