The role of Kitchen Manager at DashMart Kitchens is a unique and exciting opportunity to join DoorDash’s next billion-dollar business. DashMart Kitchens focuses on building a new type of restaurant platform housed within DashMart fulfillment centers, delivering a wide selection of prepared foods and popular restaurant staples directly to customers. As a Kitchen Manager, you will lead the daily operations of a DoorDash-owned kitchen, managing a team of operations associates and shift leads to ensure outstanding quality, safety, and efficiency.

This position blends hands-on culinary leadership with operational management, including staffing, scheduling, and kitchen performance oversight. You will collaborate closely with your Site Manager to oversee multiple food concepts, improve workflows, and cultivate a productive and positive work environment. Working on both the kitchen and fulfillment sides of the business, you will monitor food safety compliance, inventory controls, and the smooth execution of orders to contribute to the overall success of DashMart Kitchens.

You will play a critical role in driving team success by hiring, coaching, and developing a diverse team while fostering an inclusive, safety-focused culture. Your leadership will be vital in navigating growth projects and new food concepts, handling escalations, and working cross-functionally to align kitchen operations with company goals. An analytical mindset will support you in assessing performance metrics, identifying operational gaps, and strategizing solutions that enhance efficiency and quality.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in medium or high-volume fast-casual or full-service restaurant environments
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience including hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
  • ServeSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain
  • Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams of 5 or more employees
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to process improvements
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data-driven decisions
  • Flexibility to work late-night and weekend hours as needed
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly learn inventory management systems and fulfillment best practices

Job Duties
