Job Description

DoorDash is a global technology leader in the food delivery and logistics space, committed to empowering local economies by connecting people with the best in their cities. Founded to enable door-to-door delivery service, DoorDash has rapidly expanded its vision to become the go-to platform for the delivery of not just food but all types of goods. At the heart of this growth is DashMart, DoorDash's next billion-dollar business initiative designed to provide an extensive selection of prepared foods and popular restaurant staples directly to customers’ doorsteps. DashMart Kitchens is an integral part of this business, providing an in-house culinary platform that operates within DashMart fulfillment centers.

DashMart Kitchens is pioneering a new type of restaurant platform focused on operational innovation, quality food production, and exceptional customer experience through delivery-only kitchens. The team’s mission is to scale and optimize these kitchens to meet growing customer demand, ensuring consistent and high-quality food offerings from multiple food concepts under one roof.

The Kitchen Manager role for DashMart Kitchens represents an exciting leadership opportunity within this dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. The incumbent will manage the daily operations of a DoorDash-owned kitchen located within a DashMart fulfillment center, overseeing a team of operations associates and shift leads. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless culinary execution, operational efficiency, and stringent food safety compliance. The Kitchen Manager will be a hands-on leader, directly managing staffing schedules, kitchen performance metrics, and operational procedures to meet high standards of meal preparation, accuracy, and food safety.

Beyond daily kitchen management, this role requires strong collaboration skills to work closely with the Site Manager and other cross-functional teams across DashMart and DoorDash operations. The Kitchen Manager will lead multiple food concepts, drive continuous process improvements, and foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes inclusivity and employee development. They will also be cross-trained to understand all aspects of DashMart fulfillment operations, taking on responsibilities beyond the kitchen to ensure smooth integration with delivery logistics and overall site performance.

Candidates passionate about food and operational leadership will find this role rewarding. It suits individuals who enjoy building scalable processes, solving complex problems, and leading teams in fast-paced, startup-style environments. The position involves working flexible hours, including late nights and weekends, to ensure full site support and peak operational efficiency.

As leadership at DashMart Kitchens, the Kitchen Manager will make a significant impact by building a safety-first culture, driving team success, analyzing performance data to implement creative solutions, and delivering consistently great food experiences that delight customers. DoorDash values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, making this a welcoming environment for candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
