The Kitchen Manager role at Bubba's 33 is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all Back of House operations. This position requires hands-on management of food purchasing, receiving, preparation, and presentation, ensuring adherence to established recipes and safety procedures. The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining food quality, controlling food and labor costs, and fostering a productive and safe kitchen environment. The role also involves training and managing kitchen staff, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting career development among team members. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or kitchen management
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in managing kitchen staff and operations
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Commitment to food safety standards and quality

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen management or a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to manage food costs and kitchen labor effectively
  • Experience in training and developing staff
  • Familiarity with inventory control and ordering processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
  • Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting performance evaluations coaching and discipline
  • Assisting with the development of all key employees assistant managers and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance
  • Conducting formal line taste and temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
  • Overseeing the proper handling maintenance and storage of all items
  • Managing food costs tracking waste and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Directing work for Back of House employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before during and after open hours
  • Training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Reviewing applications interviewing and hiring or making recommendations to hire Back of House employees
  • Creating a safe fun and clean work environment for staff in a manner consistent with core values and operational goals
