Job Description

Lunchtime Solutions is a dedicated foodservice provider committed to delivering high-quality and nutritious meal programs primarily within educational environments. Specializing in school meal services, Lunchtime Solutions partners with institutions to create and manage meal plans that support student health and meet rigorous food safety standards. Operating with a strong emphasis on team collaboration, customer satisfaction, and quality assurance, Lunchtime Solutions has established itself in the industry as a reliable and passionate organization focused on enhancing the dining experience for students and staff alike.

Located onsite at Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools, the Kitchen Manager role at Lunchtime Solutions is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the seamless daily operations of a school kitchen environment. This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing a structured and balanced work schedule that respects personal time and promotes work-life balance. The Kitchen Manager leads food production efforts by preparing meals that adhere to established recipes and nutritional guidelines while accommodating special diets and catering requests. This role demands meticulous attention to detail in managing food safety protocols, including HACCP and HAZCOM standards, ensuring the kitchen environment complies with all health regulations.

As the face of operational leadership within the kitchen, the Kitchen Manager acts as the primary point of contact for staff, handling troubleshooting, policy enforcement, and fostering effective communication between supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers. Inventory management and timely ordering are also under the Kitchen Manager’s purview, requiring adept organizational and planning skills to maintain consistent meal production and optimize food costs. Additionally, the role involves training and coaching staff to ensure team development and productivity, as well as occasionally providing support in other district kitchens as needed.

Lunchtime Solutions values integrity, team collaboration, passion, and a steadfast commitment to customer success—all qualities embodied by the ideal candidate for this position. Working in this role means embracing a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement while supporting employees with benefits like paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plans, and limited medical benefits for qualifying schedules. Candidates with a background in food service management, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering excellent meal programs in educational settings will find this opportunity both fulfilling and rewarding.
