Evergreen Restaurant Group believes in creating an environment where employees can truly express their bold personalities, fostering a sense of pride and satisfaction in their work. The company is deeply committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience through serious food standards and concentrated customer service.
Outback Steakhouse is an Australian-inspired steakhouse restaurant cherished worldwide. Known for its unbeatable steak cuts along with diverse offerings like chicken, ribs, seafood, and pasta, Outback Steakhouse has carved a niche for serving generous portions at moderate prices. The atmosphere at the restaurant transports guests to the Australian Outback, offering a warm, casual, and inviting environment.
Evergreen Restaurant Group prides itself on being a leader in quality and consistency, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. The group's dedicated management philosophy centers around empowering employees by investing in their growth and career development, cultivating a workplace where team members feel valued and motivated.
The role of Manager at Evergreen Restaurant Group is an exciting opportunity for professionals seeking to make a difference in the restaurant industry. As a Manager, you will take on a leadership position overseeing the daily front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring excellence in appearance, food and liquor cost control, presentation, customer satisfaction, and employee leadership. This management role requires minimal supervision and offers the chance to influence every aspect of restaurant performance.
The Manager is responsible for staffing, including assisting in determining the appropriate staffing levels per shift and managing employee assignments effectively. This position involves comprehensive human resource management duties such as hiring, employee development, counseling, promotion, discipline, and termination when necessary. Active participation in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes is a key facet of the role, emphasizing the importance of building a strong, dedicated team.
A critical aspect of this leadership position is championing employee growth by promoting defined development paths that guide internal management promotions. Managers are expected to enforce stringent safety, sanitary practices, and maintenance, ensuring the restaurant complies fully with operational standards, company policies, and federal, state, and local laws, including health and safety regulations. This accountability extends to ensuring all health inspections meet required state standards.
Managers engage fully as members of the restaurant’s management team. They are responsible for responding to guest feedback, enhancing customer loyalty, and empowering employees to deliver exceptional service. A Manager sets excellent customer service and work examples and demonstrates thorough knowledge of the menu and food preparation. Additionally, involvement in community outreach and local market opportunities is encouraged, helping to extend the brand’s reach and reputation within the area.
Evergreen Restaurant Group values flexibility; thus, working a flexible schedule is essential. The role requires previous experience in restaurant management, preferably with at least one year in a full-service restaurant including bar experience. Certification in food safety, such as SERVE Safe, is preferred. The Manager position offers a rewarding career path in a company that values its employees and offers substantial benefits including meal compensation, paid time off, health and wellness plans including medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage, and is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day to allow employees time with their families.
The restaurant is independently owned and operated by a licensed franchisee who makes all employment decisions. Joining Evergreen Restaurant Group means becoming part of a fun, dynamic team that stays for the long term, aiming for career growth and personal development while delivering an awesome experience for every guest.
