We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to lead our dining kitchen. Job Requirements

  • A college certificate or equivalent culinary experience
  • 2-4 years of professional kitchen experience
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Capacity to remain calm under pressure
  • Commitment to high cleanliness and safety standards
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • College certificate or equivalent experience in culinary arts
  • 2-4 years of kitchen experience preferably in supervisory roles
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with staff and management
  • Proven capability to work effectively under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and punctuality
  • Basic math skills for budgeting and portion control
  • Proficiency with technology including phone systems and kitchen software

Job Duties

  • Oversee the creation of mouthwatering dishes ensuring every order is prepared quickly accurately and to high standards
  • Craft schedules and manage labor budgets to maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Maintain clean equipment and storage areas ensuring safety and sanitation
  • Mentor the team boosting morale resolving issues and promoting individual growth
  • Keep stock levels accurate rotating products and maintaining quality
  • Communicate special requests and events to staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Perform weekly cleaning projects and closing checklists diligently
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed demonstrating leadership at all times
