Job Description

Five Iron Golf, backed by Callaway Golf and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments, is a premier sports bar, restaurant, and entertainment venue operator. With 35 locations currently open and over 50 more planned worldwide, the brand is rapidly expanding while maintaining a strong focus on innovation, inclusivity, and community connection. Known for blending world-class technology with hospitality-driven service, Five Iron creates vibrant environments where guests can enjoy exceptional dining and entertainment experiences. Their venues combine the excitement of interactive golf games with high-quality food and beverage services, setting them apart in the hospitality industry.

The company is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join their team. This role is critical in building and maintaining a high-performing kitchen staff dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Kitchen Manager will play an essential role in continually evaluating and improving the menu, offering high-value, high-quality culinary options suitable for both individual dining and special events. This leadership position demands someone who can effectively oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility.

As Kitchen Manager, the successful candidate will build, lead, and mentor a collaborative and positive kitchen team. Responsibilities include hiring and onboarding new culinary team members while fostering a culture of accountability with clear performance expectations. The role involves coaching and developing the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure consistent and excellent food preparation and presentation, holding the kitchen to the highest culinary standards.

Operational duties encompass inventory management, purchasing, scheduling, and strict adherence to food safety protocols. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the General Manager - Social to align kitchen activities with overall business goals, particularly focusing on budget adherence for food and labor costs and successful execution of events. Innovation is key in this role; the Kitchen Manager will keep the event menu fresh and relevant by incorporating contemporary culinary trends while maintaining Five Iron Golf’s unique brand identity.

Furthermore, the Kitchen Manager will develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet cost and quality benchmarks, and collaborate with the beverage program to create complementary food and drink pairings. They will also lead culinary efforts for a wide range of events, from corporate functions to private parties, coordinating with the events team to design menus and ensure flawless execution.

Maintaining high presentation standards and addressing guest feedback promptly are essential responsibilities to enhance the overall dining experience. The Kitchen Manager is also expected to cultivate a culture of hospitality within the kitchen, ensuring every guest interaction is positive and engaging.

Strong vendor relationships are important to procure the best quality ingredients at cost-effective prices. The Kitchen Manager will partner with senior leadership, including the General Manager and VP of Culinary, to develop strategic initiatives that foster business growth and profitability. As a brand ambassador, the Kitchen Manager may represent Five Iron Golf at industry events and within the broader community.

This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per year and requires night and weekend availability. Five Iron Golf is committed to diversity, inclusivity, and equal employment opportunity, encouraging candidates from all backgrounds to apply. The company also supports reasonable accommodations for employees as needed.
