This role is for a leadership position within the Prepared Foods Department, which plays a critical part in delivering freshly prepared meals and products that meet the high standards of the company and exceed customer expectations. As a key leader supporting the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader, you will oversee various aspects such as product management, food safety compliance, quality control, merchandising strategies, sales growth, and fiscal responsibility including gross margin management and expense control.
Your leadership will extend to motivating and developing team members, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency within production. You will be instrumental in educating both guests and team members on product selections, culinary ideas, and creative meal solutions, contributing to a compelling marketplace atmosphere. Job Requirements
- Valid Washington State Food Workers Card
- minimum two years chef, sous chef, or kitchen management experience
- one year supervisory experience preferred
- minimum three years customer service experience
- ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under deadlines
- strong self-motivation and initiative
- knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
- effective communication skills
- professionalism and confidentiality

Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years chef, sous chef, or direct kitchen management experience

Job Duties
- Assist the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader with product management and food safety
- ensure compliance with recipe and production guidelines
- maintain quality, freshness, and portion control of prepared foods
- develop and maintain attractive product displays
- manage inventory levels and ordering to maximize sales and reduce costs
- interact effectively with vendors to determine order quantities and cost
- enforce stocking, cleaning, and rotation standards
- assign and oversee daily tasks for production employees
- lead product promotions and customer engagement initiatives
- ensure adherence to food safety standards including HACCP and Department of Health regulations
- train team members with feedback, coaching, and counseling
- perform monthly physical inventory counts
