Job Description
Copeland's is a renowned family-run restaurant that has been making a mark in the culinary world since 1983. Known for its passion, pride, and unwavering integrity, Copeland's stands out by crafting made-from-scratch dishes that highlight the freshest local ingredients. Over the decades, this establishment has cultivated a legacy built on quality food, excellent service, and community trust. As a full-service restaurant, Copeland's caters to a wide range of guests who expect not only delicious meals but also an inviting atmosphere where every detail counts. The restaurant operates with a high level of execution every single day, ensuring that every guest's experience is memorable and that every plate served meets the highest culinary standards.
We are currently seeking a seasoned Kitchen Manager to join our team, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and understands that exceptional food starts with strong systems, disciplined execution, and well-developed personnel. The Kitchen Manager at Copeland's is a hands-on culinary leader responsible for driving food quality, managing costs, cultivating a positive kitchen culture, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and build strong, accountable teams that take immense pride in their work — from the initial preparation stages all the way to the final presentation on the plate.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a critical role in upholding and enforcing all Copeland's recipes, specifications, systems, and food standards. Your leadership will directly influence food cost management, inventory control, accurate ordering, and waste reduction, which are vital for sustaining profitability and efficiency. Furthermore, you will drive labor efficiency by smart scheduling and productivity oversight, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly even during peak hours.
A key responsibility will be leading kitchen shifts with urgency, organization, and close attention to detail. You will train, develop, and retain back-of-house team members, building their skills and fostering a collaborative work environment. Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness will be essential functions of your position. Collaboration with the General Manager to achieve financial and operational goals is another aspect of this important leadership role.
If you take pride in delivering consistently high-quality food and enjoy being part of a team that shares this commitment, Copeland's offers an exciting opportunity to advance your culinary career. We provide competitive pay, bonus potential, health benefits, paid vacation, retirement plans, and employee recognition programs as part of our dedication to supporting our managers and fostering a positive workplace culture. Join Copeland's, where you can lead a team, uphold a family tradition, and contribute to redefining casual dining through culinary excellence and exceptional service.
