Job Description

Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a dynamic and engaging franchise establishment known for providing a unique blend of family-friendly dining and vibrant sports bar atmosphere. This popular restaurant specializes in handcrafted pizzas, scratch-made gourmet meals, craft cocktails, and a carefully curated selection of local beers, positioning itself as America’s premier sports restaurant. With a strong community focus, Boston's offers a welcoming environment for a variety of occasions, including sports events, birthdays, family reunions, coworker happy hours, and fundraisers, making it a vital social hub. The franchise operates independently from Boston Pizza Restaurants, LP and its affiliates, with each franchisee managing their own wage and benefits programs, which may vary accordingly.

The role of Kitchen Manager at Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a pivotal leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager. This individual is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing all kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food preparation, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in hiring, training, and developing the prep and line cooks, ensuring the team aligns with the restaurant's commitment to quality and customer service. This position entails accountability for budgeted financial outcomes, including managing HOH (hours on hand) labor costs, food costs, and attaining predetermined guest satisfaction metrics.

Moreover, the Kitchen Manager will be instrumental in fostering a positive, team-oriented restaurant culture that emphasizes friendliness and a guest-focused experience. Operational excellence is anticipated, with strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards, alongside maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership capabilities to schedule the kitchen team in alignment with budget targets and service goals, manage labor and turnover effectively, and ensure security protocols for employee and guest safety are followed. It is a fast-paced role demanding the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and necessitates a strong sense of urgency combined with a commanding management presence.

Candidates for this role will find Boston's to be not only a workplace but a community where culinary innovation meets outstanding service in a lively setting. The Kitchen Manager position offers an excellent opportunity to lead in a well-established yet continuously evolving restaurant known for its commitment to excellence and community engagement. Successful applicants must bring proven management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform efficiently under pressure. Boston's is dedicated to creating a workplace where employees are valued and guest experiences are enhanced, making it an ideal environment for ambitious culinary professionals seeking to make a significant impact.
