The role of Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef at Tumble 22 is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations. This professional will manage purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting all food products, ensuring they meet established recipes and procedures in a timely manner. More than just a managerial role, this position requires a hands-on leader who can step in to assist with food preparation, maintain high standards of kitchen quality, and effectively manage kitchen staff. The Kitchen Manager will collaborate closely with the General Manager to guide food preparation planning and execution as needed. Successful candidates will have proven experience managing high-volume kitchens and will be skilled at navigating challenging situations to deliver successful shifts. Job Duties
- Help in the preparation of all food
- produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise
- ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- fill in the General Manager in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule, and assess staff’s performance
- order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
