As a Kitchen Supervisor at The Great Greek, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. This position requires a dedicated professional who can lead, manage, and inspire kitchen staff while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee daily kitchen activities, coordinate with supply vendors, ensure compliance with sanitation regulations, and manage inventory and cost control. This role is vital in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent cuisine and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous food service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management/POS software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health regulations
  • Experience in inventory and cost control management

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and health and safety procedures
  • Train, develop, and create a culture of success among kitchen employees
  • Manage daily kitchen operations effectively
  • Liaise with contracted companies for food orders
  • Interview and hire new kitchen staff
  • Maintain and raise food profit margins
  • Control back-of-house labor costs
  • Monitor and manage stock levels adhering to proper rotation procedures
  • Conduct monthly pricing audits and regular inventories
  • Maintain and update menu cost analysis and pricing quarterly
  • Complete business system financial organization tasks
  • Prepare purchase log reports
  • Create kitchen schedules based on sales forecasts
  • Maintain food quality and presentation standards
