The Back of House Manager role at Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center is vital to maintaining the highest standards of kitchen operations. This position calls for an experienced individual who is adept at managing a large kitchen crew, overseeing back-of-house processes, and controlling food and labor costs effectively. The Back of House Manager not only supervises daily kitchen activities but also ensures strict adherence to all county and company food safety and sanitation regulations. A key responsibility of this role is to create memorable guest dining experiences by delivering excellent culinary cuisine in a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food service excellence and the ability to lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff in a high-volume restaurant setting. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of restaurant experience
  • able to work weekends and holidays
  • ServSafe certified or able to complete certification
  • ability to manage a large kitchen crew
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to enforce hygiene and sanitation practices
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of restaurant experience
  • management and/or hospitality experience a plus
  • experience in managing cost of goods sold and labor
  • ServSafe certified or able to complete certification
  • strong leadership and people management skills
  • knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • ability to train and motivate staff
  • effective communication skills
  • proficiency in budgeting and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Own back-of-house/kitchen sanitation and operations
  • hire, train and manage all team members
  • manage inventory of food and beverage
  • handle back-of-house budget
  • attend all staff meetings
  • comply with county health standards
  • stay up to date on company’s BOH processes
