Job Description
Oohh's & Aahh's is a renowned restaurant brand that has been a Washington D.C. staple for years, famous for serving award-winning comfort food that delivers soul-satisfying flavors. Known for their dedication to quality and consistency, Oohh's & Aahh's has garnered a loyal customer base with a reputation for exceptional food experiences. Following immense popularity and demand, the company is expanding its presence by opening a new location in Baltimore, Maryland. This new venture represents an exciting chapter as the brand enters the vibrant Charm City culinary scene, bringing its iconic dishes and exceptional service to new patrons. This expansion emphasizes the company's growth trajectory and commitment to delivering its unique culinary vision to a broader audience.
The Kitchen Manager position at Oohh's & Aahh's Baltimore location is a full-time, salaried role requiring 50-60 hours per week with open availability, acknowledging the fast-paced and often demanding nature of the culinary environment. Offering a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 depending on experience, the role also includes quarterly performance bonuses for meeting key operational targets as well as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Paid time off and sick days are provided to support employee well-being, alongside free meals during shifts and generous discounts when off the clock, reinforcing the company's employee-focused culture.
As Kitchen Manager, you are entrusted with the crucial responsibility of leading the back-of-house operations and upholding the legacy of delicious food that defines Oohh's & Aahh's. Collaborating closely with both the Brand Operations Manager and the Director of Operations, this leadership role demands a proactive individual who can recruit, train, and mentor a cohesive and motivated kitchen team. You will play an essential role in driving productivity and morale, fostering an environment where accountability, respect, and high energy thrive. Your leadership ensures that every dish leaving the kitchen meets the brand's rigorous quality standards.
Beyond culinary supervision, the Kitchen Manager will own operational aspects such as food cost management, labor optimization, and inventory control. Effective management of these factors contributes directly to the profitability and efficiency of kitchen operations without sacrificing quality. Expertise in maintaining impeccable cleanliness and adhering to health department and food safety regulations is critical, as is the capability to maintain transparent communication with senior leadership to ensure a smooth grand opening and ongoing operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in high-volume kitchen environments, a passion for culinary standards, and a commitment to developing team members into successful hospitality professionals. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, flexibility with scheduling, and a readiness to earn or possess ServSafe Manager certification. Joining Oohh's & Aahh's Baltimore kitchen team means becoming part of a dynamic and growing restaurant group dedicated to excellence in food and service, with rewarding incentives and benefits to support your career and lifestyle.
