Job Description
Bickford Senior Living is a compassionate and dedicated community of caregivers committed to enriching the lives and happiness of senior residents. Founded in 1991 in Olathe, Kansas by the Eby Family, the organization’s roots trace back to Mary Bickford, the matriarch and first resident of a Bickford branch, whose legacy inspired the company’s name and mission. Since then, Bickford Senior Living has expanded to over 50 locations across seven states, maintaining a strong family-oriented environment that serves both its residents and its employees. Bickford prides itself on delivering outstanding care with a personal touch, fostering a warm, supportive atmosphere where seniors can live joyfully and with dignity.
Bickford Senior Living actively promotes a culture where caregivers are valued and supported, recognizing that caregiving is a profound calling that requires love, connection, and dedication. Their mission centers on championing the quality of life for all seniors by providing high-quality care that encourages residents to enjoy life to the fullest. This mission is reflected in every facet of the community—from personalized care plans to engaging activities designed to promote socialization and wellness. Team members at Bickford benefit from a uniquely supportive community, complete with programs, rewards, and comprehensive benefits designed to enhance their lives in and out of work.
The Breadbasket Manager role at Bickford Senior Living is an integral part of this mission, focusing on supporting all aspects of the restaurant-style dining experience known as the "Bread Basket." This position is a full-time opportunity that includes a broad suite of benefits depending on employment status. Responsibilities include overseeing food ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and meal service to ensure residents enjoy nutritious, appealing, and timely meals. The Breadbasket Manager works closely with other staff and residents to guarantee that meals meet both the specific dietary needs and personal preferences of residents while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
The position demands an individual who can manage multiple priorities efficiently, maintain organizational discipline, and exhibit strong communication skills for interacting effectively with residents and team members. Training and travel opportunities support professional growth and ensure the Breadbasket Manager remains knowledgeable about the latest dining services best practices. This role is suited for someone passionate about delivering excellence in food service within a caregiving environment where every interaction makes a difference in the lives of seniors. With daily pay availability, employees are supported not only through their work environment but also financially on a frequent basis.
Benefits options vary but typically include medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits for full-time employees, with additional options for part-time team members. Employees also benefit from 401(k) plans with employer matching, prescription savings, and paid time off features that contribute to a well-rounded and supportive compensation package.
Joining Bickford Senior Living as a Breadbasket Manager means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values its people and its residents equally. It is an opportunity to make a tangible difference daily, in a workplace culture that nurtures personal growth, teamwork, and meaningful caregiving.
