We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. This full-time role requires a positive-minded, hands-on leader who serves as an inspirational role model to their team. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong owner mentality, financial savvy, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the high standards of Pitfire Pizza. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for mentoring and motivating staff, upholding a productive and positive work environment, and ensuring that food quality and safety standards are met consistently. Offering competitive salary ranging from $73,000 to $78,000 annually, along with quarterly bonus potential and excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan, Pitfire Pizza ensures a work-life balance and a supportive environment for its employees. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of prior experience as a Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef in a quality, contemporary full-service or fast-casual environment with a focus on scratch cooking. Technological proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory tracking is required, as well as an active ServSafe Management Food Safety Certificate. Flexible availability is necessary to meet the demands of the position.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of relevant kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • Active ServSafe Management Food Safety Certificate
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Proficiency in kitchen related technology such as POS, Ctuit, Hot Schedules
  • Flexible and open availability
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen operations and manage food preparation according to recipes, portions, and technique
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire kitchen staff to create a motivated and productive team
  • Monitor and analyze profit and loss statements and adjust operations proactively
  • Ensure food safety and compliance by maintaining the ServSafe Management Food Safety standards
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and use of technology such as POS and Hot Schedules
  • Foster a positive work environment that aligns with company culture and standards
