Job Description
Enmarket is a dynamic and fast-growing convenience store chain committed to delivering outstanding customer service and quality foodservice experiences. Dedicated to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and fostering a culture centered on respect, inclusiveness, and excellence, Enmarket has positioned itself as a trusted name in the retail foodservice industry. The company prides itself on upholding the highest standards of food safety, operational efficiency, and employee empowerment. Enmarket supports an environment where team members are encouraged to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to customer satisfaction. With multiple locations and a customer-focused business model, Enmarket emphasizes strong leadership to ensure that each store delivers consistent quality, cleanliness, and exceptional service.
The Kitchen Manager role at Enmarket is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing all aspects of foodservice operations within the store. This role involves managing production, training team members, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining product inventory at optimal levels. The Kitchen Manager is expected to lead by example by promoting the company’s mission, vision, and values, and by cultivating a workplace culture that aligns with these principles. Key aspects of the role include enforcing strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards as outlined by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. The successful Kitchen Manager will be adept at controlling costs through efficient inventory management and conducting regular cost counts.
In addition, the Kitchen Manager plays an essential role in staff development, including conducting interviews, hiring, onboarding new employees, and providing ongoing training to ensure the team is equipped with the skills needed for exemplary performance. Effective communication skills are crucial in resolving customer complaints quickly and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. The position demands a hands-on approach to daily operations, monitoring employee activities such as temperature checks, PPE compliance, product rotation, and adherence to standard operating procedures and recipes. The Kitchen Manager also supports the roll-out and ongoing implementation of new foodservice programs, ensuring the team adapts smoothly to any operational changes.
This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with the willingness to put in up to 50 hours per week. Physical requirements such as bending, stretching, lifting up to 40 pounds, and handling inventory are also part of the day-to-day responsibilities. Overall, this leadership position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about foodservice and ready to contribute to a successful and growing retail chain.
