Job Description

Our company is a dedicated provider of school meal services, committed to delivering nutritious and delicious meals to students across various educational institutions. With a focus on quality, safety, and community engagement, we strive to create a positive dining experience that supports student health and learning. Our organization values teamwork, leadership, and compliance with the highest food safety standards, ensuring that every meal served meets regulatory requirements and exceeds expectations. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity and inclusion in our workforce. We also participate in the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Program to uphold legal hiring standards.

The role of Kitchen Manager is pivotal within our school food service operations. This full-time position involves leading the daily kitchen activities at an assigned school site, orchestrating everything from food preparation and staff supervision to inventory management and safety compliance. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be the driving force behind delivering high-quality meals to hundreds of students every day, ensuring that food safety, portion control, and sanitation standards are rigorously maintained. Your leadership will be essential in training kitchen staff, managing schedules and budgets, and fostering a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

This role is designed for an individual with a passion for food service and strong organizational and leadership skills. You will be responsible not only for hands-on food preparation but also for administrative tasks such as paperwork, reporting, and compliance documentation. Key to success in this role is the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting, communicate effectively with staff and school personnel, and adhere strictly to federal, state, and company policies, including HACCP and ServSafe standards.

The Kitchen Manager must be comfortable working within a school environment and demonstrate reliability and a commitment to supporting the educational community through excellent food service. Physical stamina is required to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift heavy items, and you should be prepared to engage in a dynamic workplace environment that values safety and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their career in food service management while making a meaningful impact on students' daily lives.
