Cantina Laredo is a well-established Mexican restaurant chain headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and owned by Consolidated Restaurant Operations, Inc. Founded in 1984, the company has grown to become a recognized name in the dining industry, known for delivering authentic Mexican cuisine with exceptional customer service in a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The flagship training restaurant is located in Frisco, Texas, which serves as the foundation for the company’s commitment to excellence. Cantina Laredo prides itself on maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while fostering a positive work environment for its employees.

The role of Kitchen Manager at Cantina Laredo is a critical leadership position responsible for the successful operation of the restaurant’s kitchen. This full-time position reports directly to the General Manager and requires a dynamic individual capable of balancing business development, staff management, operational quality, and profitability to ensure the restaurant’s continuous growth and exceptional customer experiences. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding Cantina Laredo’s standards by overseeing cooking and service procedures, maintaining high hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring that the kitchen runs efficiently and profitably.

In this role, the Kitchen Manager will maintain effective staffing by managing employee hiring and retention strategies, addressing performance issues with targeted action plans, and handling guest complaints and crises with professionalism and calm efficiency. Operating within established profit and loss (P&L) budgets, the Kitchen Manager will strive to meet or exceed financial goals while ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and promptly. Moreover, the manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of company assets to guarantee a safe and productive kitchen environment. Community involvement is also an essential aspect of the position; the Kitchen Manager will actively participate in local events and activities to improve the restaurant’s visibility and drive sales.

The physical demands of the role include standing for entire shifts with frequent movement throughout the kitchen, including walking, bending, stooping, turning, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The working environment can be quite warm, particularly in the kitchen area where temperatures may reach up to 110 degrees during summer months. The position requires robust motor skills and the ability to safely handle hot food items. No formal education is required for this role, but a preferred experience range of 2 to 5 years in restaurant management is essential.

Overall, the Kitchen Manager position at Cantina Laredo offers a rewarding opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in restaurant management within a respected and growing company.
