Chick-fil-A Creve Coeur is a locally owned and operated fast-casual restaurant dedicated to serving high-quality chicken meals with remarkable hospitality. We are currently seeking a passionate and hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. As a pivotal member of the leadership team, the Kitchen Manager will oversee the daily kitchen activities to ensure every meal served meets Chick-fil-A's rigorous standards for taste, quality, and presentation. This role requires balancing speed, safety, and excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in food preparation, cooking, and assembly, while also managing kitchen staff and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.

In this full-time position, the Kitchen Manager will play a crucial role in a new Chick-fil-A restaurant concept, helping to pioneer innovative kitchen processes and contribute to the opening and ongoing success of the restaurant. The role involves supervising kitchen shifts with a strong focus on speed of service, accuracy, and consistency to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager will be responsible for controlling food costs, minimizing waste, managing inventory, and hitting labor and throughput targets—all while fostering a positive team dynamic and promoting employee growth.

Job Qualifications

  • Some college or culinary experience a plus
  • Previous leadership experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting, preferably in quick-service or fast-casual

Job Duties

  • Lead daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, assembly, and expediting during peak hours
  • Run kitchen shifts with a focus on speed of service, accuracy, and consistency
  • Maintain rigorous standards for recipe adherence, portion control, taste, and presentation
  • Monitor and improve food quality scores
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety procedures, temperature control, sanitation standards, and health department regulations
  • Hire, train, schedule, motivate, and develop kitchen team members
  • Oversee food and paper inventory, control costs, minimize waste, manage truck orders, and hit labor and throughput targets
