Job Description

Holy Family Academy is a classical Catholic school located in St. Louis Park, MN, committed to providing an education grounded in academic excellence and fidelity to the teachings of the Magisterium. The school promotes a joyful and nurturing Catholic culture that supports families in the holistic formation of their children, focusing on holiness, virtue, and the development of reason. As an institution, Holy Family Academy values the integral role of faith in education and strives to create an environment where students grow spiritually, intellectually, and morally. The Academy's mission emphasizes forming young minds and hearts to embrace truth, goodness, and beauty, preparing students to lead lives of purpose and service within their communities and beyond.

The Kitchen Manager role at Holy Family Academy is pivotal in supporting this mission by ensuring that nutritious and well-prepared lunches are served daily to the student body, which consists of approximately 210 enrolled students. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage between $20 and $25, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required. The Kitchen Manager is entrusted with overseeing all kitchen operations, including the ordering and purchasing of food supplies both online and in-store, planning and setting up monthly menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of the school community, and accepting and organizing food deliveries to maintain a seamless workflow.

In addition to meal preparation and serving, the Kitchen Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with local government regulations. This role requires leadership skills to supervise part-time kitchen assistants or volunteers effectively, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The manager also oversees the use of school lunch ordering software, coordinating closely with school staff and administration to manage lunch schedules and accommodate special events. Administrative duties include filing and tracking all necessary paperwork related to kitchen management, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Importantly, the new Kitchen Manager will benefit from comprehensive training provided by the previous kitchen manager, facilitating a smooth transition and continuity of excellence in kitchen operations. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about food service, organization, and contributing positively to a faith-centered educational environment. Candidates who thrive in a dynamic setting and are committed to supporting the school’s mission through their work with students and staff will find this role both rewarding and impactful.
