Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management or a similar supervisory culinary role
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in food preparation cooking techniques and kitchen management within various restaurant formats including casual dining quick service and fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control methods and food safety standards to ensure quality and compliance
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in staff training supervision interviewing and team management
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and promptly
  • Ability to manage shift operations effectively while maintaining high standards of food handling and hospitality
  • Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is a plus for understanding broader guest service expectations

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities including food preparation cooking and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels ordering supplies and minimizing waste to optimize cost efficiency
  • Oversee food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations and company policies
  • Train develop and motivate kitchen staff to improve skills ensure adherence to procedures and foster teamwork
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing cash handling and sales reconciliation
  • Lead shift management by organizing staff schedules assigning tasks and ensuring smooth operations during peak hours
  • Collaborate with restaurant management on budgeting food production planning and menu development to enhance customer satisfaction
