The Kitchen Manager role at Color Hospitality Group is a critical leadership position responsible for managing all back-of-house operations within a single restaurant location. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, consistency, and operational efficiency. The Kitchen Manager oversees the kitchen team, including the Assistant Kitchen Manager (AKM), ensuring seamless daily operations, from food preparation to kitchen cleanliness. Strong leadership skills are essential to motivate, train, and mentor staff while fostering a positive and accountable team environment.

Additionally, the Kitchen Manager handles inventory management, food cost control, labor scheduling, and collaborates closely with the Director of Operations and Executive Chef on menu planning and special promotions. A key part of this position is to uphold compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure operational procedures meet company and local standards. Communication and collaboration with front-of-house management and kitchen staff help provide consistent guest experiences and maintain smooth service flow.

This role demands a proactive and organized individual with at least two years of kitchen leadership experience, a firm grasp of food safety and back-of-house operations, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Motivating staff by leading by example and ensuring all food service delivery aligns with the brand's high standards fosters continued operational and financial success. Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service and quality control
  • Implement and uphold standard operating procedures for food preparation, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Executive Chef on menu planning, seasonal updates, and special promotions
  • Delegate tasks to the Assistant Kitchen Manager (AKM) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including the AKM
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules to optimize productivity and labor costs
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address performance issues promptly
