We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Manager to join our dynamic team at Hillstone. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 annually. As a Culinary Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence by overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring seamless service delivery. This role demands strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of culinary techniques, and the ability to manage both people and resources efficiently.

Selected managers will also benefit from an extensive 8-week rotational training program conducted on-site, designed to immerse new hires in Hillstone's operational standards and culinary philosophy. This training will cover every aspect of kitchen management, from food preparation techniques to health and safety regulations, ensuring you have the tools necessary to succeed.

The Culinary Manager will lead a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment where open communication and mutual respect are valued. This position involves close collaboration with the management team to guarantee that all dishes meet Hillstone’s high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.

Inventory management, cost control, and budget adherence are additional critical responsibilities. The manager will monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Ensuring the kitchen complies with all health and safety standards is mandatory, creating a safe working environment for all staff members.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality or similar role preferably in high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of financial management including budgeting cost control and inventory management
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
