  • minimum 3 years of kitchen supervisory experience

Job Duties

  • Assist the chef in food service and kitchen operations
  • provide direction to kitchen staff to ensure completion of duties
  • monitor kitchen for compliance with health and fire regulations
  • ensure all food handling meets state, federal, and local standards
  • implement and manage kitchen policies and procedures
  • fulfill line cook duties when needed
  • maintain correct product storage temperatures
  • update recipe books with menu changes
  • ensure use of daily prep and yield sheets
  • participate in monthly inventory process
  • identify and resolve inventory, system, and staffing issues
  • monitor labor costs to meet budget goals
  • oversee training and development of kitchen staff
  • participate in hiring and staff evaluations
  • complete 30-day and annual employee reviews
