Job Description
Fricker's is a vibrant and community-focused restaurant known for its unique blend of fun, food, sports, and spirits. Established as a popular dining destination, Fricker's prides itself on fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious meals alongside engaging entertainment. The restaurant is deeply embedded in the local community, maintaining strong relationships with schools, universities, recreational leagues, and neighboring businesses. This close connection with the community sets Fricker's apart from many other dining establishments and creates a warm environment where many guests are friendly regulars who appreciate the neighborhood feel. As a company, Fricker's values individuality and encourages its managers to utilize their own unique management styles to meet the organization's goals effectively.
The role of a Fricker's manager is both challenging and rewarding. It requires a passionate leader who can inspire and motivate their team to deliver an outstanding guest experience consistently. Managers are entrusted with the responsibility to create a profitable environment through effective coaching, training, counseling, and leadership. The position offers a flexible five-day workweek, making it easier for managers to achieve a healthy work-life balance. Successful candidates will find themselves part of an encouraging and friendly work environment that rewards exceptional performance with competitive compensation, career advancement opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. With a $1000 signing bonus paid after 90 days of employment and a competitive monthly bonus program, the financial incentives are strong. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and a 401(k) with matching contributions.
In this leadership position, managers are tasked with executing Fricker's unique brand identity of combining fun with food and sports. They oversee operational activities with a sharp focus on driving positive sales growth while maintaining a safe, healthy, and secure environment through strict adherence to food-safety and sanitation standards. The Fricker's manager is responsible for achieving optimal staff performance by setting clear job expectations, managing scheduling, and providing ongoing training and support. They are also accountable for cost control, especially in monitoring food and labor efficiencies, and ensuring that staffing objectives are met through carefully recruiting, selecting, and training high-quality individuals.
This role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of recent restaurant management experience, preferably in a fast-casual setting. Since the position involves lengthy periods of standing and walking plus lifting up to 50 pounds, physical stamina and endurance are necessary. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills combined with a positive, friendly attitude are essential for success, as is a strong customer and guest focus. The company values attributes like dedication, enthusiasm, teamwork, leadership, and motivation driven by work-life balance, growth opportunities, and the ability to make a meaningful impact.
Fricker's is committed to being an equal opportunity employer, providing a workplace where all applicants are treated fairly according to federal employment laws. They encourage prospective candidates looking for a fulfilling management challenge with room for professional growth to consider joining the Fricker's team where they will find a supportive and dynamic work culture geared towards personal and organizational success.
