Located in the heart of Manhattan's Times Square, Row NYC is an iconic hotel that has recently completed a $140+ million transformation, revamping all guest rooms and public areas. The hotel features 1,331 newly built guestrooms with multiple bedding configurations and is in close proximity to several New York City attractions, including 24 Broadway theaters, Restaurant Row, the Jacob Javits Convention Center, Macy's, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building.
The Kitchen Manager role at Row NYC is a pivotal position tasked with coordinating, supervising, and directing all kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, consistency, and efficiency are maintained. This position entails maintaining a well-organized and productive back-of-house kitchen environment, ensuring strict compliance with union guidelines, health and sanitation protocols, and company standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Kitchen Manager will work closely with culinary and food and beverage leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience by upholding cooking standards and supporting operational excellence.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- minimum 3 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience
- food handler certification required
- strong communication skills
- ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment

- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- experience with inventory management and cost control
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- understanding of union guidelines and collective bargaining agreements

Job Duties
- Oversees all aspects of daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, organization and consistency
- supervises kitchen personnel and support staff within classification, providing clear direction and support
- ensures all food is prepared, plated, and executed in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- manages prep production, station readiness, and service flow to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
- monitors ticket times, food quality, and team communication during service to ensure consistency and performance
- maintains a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment at all times
- ensures full compliance with health, sanitation, food safety, and HACCP standards
