Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in kitchen management or supervising food preparation staff
  • knowledge of safe food handling procedures
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • excellent organizational skills
  • availability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing kitchen operations
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • ability to manage food costing and inventory control
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • prior experience conducting performance evaluations and staff coaching
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • culinary background or related certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
  • directing productivity to maintain efficient food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting in development of key employees by providing daily feedback
  • conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing work schedules and task assignments for Back of House employees
  • training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
