The Kitchen Manager role at Bubba's 33 is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all back of house operations. This includes managing purchasing, receiving, food preparation, and presentation to ensure the highest quality of scratch-made dishes served in a timely manner following established recipes and procedures. This role requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to upholding food quality and safety standards. The Kitchen Manager will lead and mentor back of house employees, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary. The role also involves managing food costs, controlling labor expenses, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across the kitchen and restaurant. The Kitchen Manager works closely with other management in enforcing compliance with employment policies and creating a safe and enjoyable work environment that aligns with the company’s core values and operational goals.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in kitchen management or supervising food preparation staff
- knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- ability to lead and motivate a team
- excellent organizational skills
- availability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- strong attention to detail
- ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Experience managing kitchen operations

- prior experience conducting performance evaluations and staff coaching

- culinary background or related certification preferred
Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
- directing productivity to maintain efficient food item ticket times
- managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- assisting in development of key employees by providing daily feedback
- conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks
- overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
- directing work schedules and task assignments for Back of House employees
- training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
- reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring
- creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
