The role of Kitchen Manager at Bubba's 33 is a pivotal leadership position overseeing all Back of House operations to ensure that every food product is purchased, received, prepared, and presented according to established recipes and procedures with the highest standard of quality and timeliness. The Kitchen Manager leads and mentors the back-of-house team, driving productivity, enforcing compliance with employment policies, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and managing food and labor costs. This role requires a proactive leader who is passionate about scratch-made cuisine and is committed to delivering excellent guest experiences while fostering a positive, safe, and fun working environment. Responsibilities include supervising food production, conducting performance evaluations, coaching staff, and ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols. The Kitchen Manager also oversees inventory, training, scheduling, and hiring within the kitchen. Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
  • directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting performance evaluations coaching and discipline
  • assisting with development of key employees assistant managers and hourly staff by providing daily feedback
  • conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks as part of inventory and safety measures
  • overseeing proper handling maintenance and storage of all items
  • understanding managing and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • managing food costs tracking waste and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing work for Back of House employees including setting hours weekly schedules and assigning tasks
  • training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • reviewing applications interviewing and making hiring recommendations
  • creating a safe fun and clean work environment in alignment with core values and operational goals
