The role of the expo station chef is crucial in supporting the kitchen's efficiency and output quality. This position requires managing the expo station in collaboration with the Lead Cook, ensuring that food presentation and timing align perfectly with the establishment’s standards. Responsibilities include preparing and explaining daily specials to the front-of-house staff, coordinating dish out times to optimize kitchen workflow, and taking inventory to assist with supply management. The role demands precision in following recipes, maintaining consistent plate presentations, and adhering to strict cook time standards to deliver dishes that meet customer expectations. Additionally, the position requires diligent attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards, not only at the individual work station but throughout the back of house. Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years prior experience, preferably with from-scratch cuisine
- Ability to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays on a regular basis
- Mobility required during entire shift, including climbing stairs
- Willingness to work flexible and extended hours
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Responsible for running expo station in partnership with Lead Cook
- Responsible for preparing and explaining specials
- Responsible for determining out times based on kitchen needs
- Take inventory and prepare orders as needed
- Prepare menu items according to recipes, plate presentations and specifications in a timely fashion
- Maintain product presentations, product quality and cook time standards
- Completes all assigned prep work
