Job Description
Tamashii Ramen House is a thriving restaurant group deeply rooted in Oklahoma's culture, specializing in crafting authentic Japanese ramen and soul food since its inception in 2015. With a growing family of three bustling locations in Edmond, Midtown Oklahoma City, and Downtown Norman, Tamashii is expanding rapidly with a fourth location set to open near Quail Spring Mall in April. The establishment prides itself not only on serving soul-satisfying bowls of ramen but on cultivating a warm, family-like environment for both guests and staff. As a rapidly growing company, Tamashii offers a dynamic and energetic workplace perfect for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about Japanese cuisine and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The restaurant highlights the importance of quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction, creating an engaging atmosphere where the team is valued and empowered.
Tamashii Ramen House is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to become the central figure in their kitchen operations across multiple locations. This full-time role offers a competitive salary starting at $50,000 per year plus bonuses, along with comprehensive benefits such as health and dental insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and paid training. The Kitchen Manager will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards Tamashii is known for by overseeing the kitchen's fast-paced, high-volume environment with skill and precision. This position requires a culinary professional with at least two years of kitchen management experience, ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy setting and is passionate about leadership and culinary excellence.
As the Kitchen Manager, you will lead a skilled team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive environment that encourages growth and teamwork. You will ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets Tamashii's strict quality and consistency benchmarks, from ingredient preparation to the final presentation on the plate. A critical part of the role involves training and coaching the culinary crew, sharing your expertise in ramen and Japanese cuisine to elevate the team's skills and passion. Operational responsibilities include managing food orders, overseeing inventory, and streamlining kitchen operations to meet the demands of peak service hours without compromising quality.
Effective communication is vital to this position, as you will act as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences. Maintaining rigorous hygiene and food safety standards to comply with all regulatory requirements is a top priority, guaranteeing a clean and healthy kitchen environment. If you are a natural leader, an organizational wizard, and a culinary expert with a growth mindset, this role at Tamashii Ramen House offers an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in one of Oklahoma's most beloved ramen establishments. Join Tamashii and be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and authentic Japanese culinary culture in a fast-growing, energetic, and supportive environment.
