Job Description
Tentac Enterprises is a dynamic company operating in the food service industry, specializing in providing high-quality dining experiences through its various establishments. As a company committed to excellence and customer satisfaction, Tentac Enterprises fosters a professional environment centered on teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. It seeks to maintain its competitive edge by hiring dedicated individuals who are passionate about culinary arts and operational efficiency. The company upholds strict standards regarding food quality, staff training, and cleanliness, reflecting its commitment to both guests and employees.
The role of Kitchen Manager at Tentac Enterprises is a pivotal position within the back-of-house operations, serving as the direct supervisor during shifts for the kitchen crew. This full-time position demands a highly organized and skilled professional responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities and ensuring smooth operation. The Kitchen Manager’s duties include cooking on the line, managing inventory, scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage staff to meet company standards for food preparation, presentation, and safety. The Kitchen Manager ensures that all menu items are prepared accurately and consistently, food presentation is appealing, and kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Beyond supervising the back-of-house team, the Kitchen Manager also plays a critical role in supporting operational logistics such as placing food orders and backing up personnel as needed. Emphasis is placed on maintaining proper food temperatures and freshness throughout the shift, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing waste. The role balances leadership, hands-on cooking responsibilities, and administrative tasks to contribute to the overall success of the kitchen and ultimately the restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have between one and five years of restaurant experience, strong knowledge of food safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, standing environment for extended periods. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and stoop frequently, and tolerate temperature and noise variations typical in a commercial kitchen environment. Additionally, clear communication skills are essential for coordinating with staff and management effectively.
Tentac Enterprises offers a comprehensive benefits package to support its employees, including employer-paid life and disability insurance, medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with an employer match. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture that embraces diversity, prohibiting discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected status. Tentac Enterprises encourages applicants who meet the qualifications and possess a love for culinary management to apply and join their dedicated team.
