As part of their team, Texas Roadhouse is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Manager to lead and oversee all Back of House (BOH) operations. The Kitchen Manager will be instrumental in maintaining efficient food preparation, managing purchase and inventory processes, and ensuring that all food products are presented timely and to perfection. This role includes significant supervisory responsibilities, including overseeing the performance of BOH employees, managing food costs, enforcing safety and cleanliness standards, and fostering a positive work environment that supports employee development and teamwork.
The Kitchen Manager is expected to maintain compliance with employment policies while cultivating a kitchen atmosphere that emphasizes high quality, safety, and operational efficiency. A key part of the position involves collaboration with all management staff to uphold the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant, ensuring an outstanding dining experience for guests. Additionally, this leadership role incorporates the responsibility of scheduling, training, coaching, and evaluating BOH staff to maximize productivity and uphold company standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or kitchen management
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
- directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting performance evaluations coaching and discipline
- assisting with the development of all key employees assistant managers and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
- conducting formal line taste and temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
- overseeing the proper handling maintenance and storage of all items
- understanding managing and practicing safe food handling procedures
- managing food costs tracking waste and controlling kitchen labor costs
- directing work for Back of House employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before during and after open hours of the restaurant
- training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- reviewing applications interviewing and hiring or making recommendation to hire Back of House employees
- creating a safe fun and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
