The Kitchen Machine Operator role is a pivotal position within Kettle Cuisine, primarily working the third shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with occasional overtime on Fridays. This role is essential for the preparation and production of sauces in open kettles, ensuring every batch meets the company’s exacting quality standards. The Kitchen Machine Operator operates various cooking equipment including ovens, kettles, dishwashers, and pumps, managing ingredient measurements, cooking processes, and product handling while adhering strictly to food safety, sanitation, and environmental protocols.

This position demands a high level of attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operators will be responsible for preparing sous vide products, cleaning equipment, managing inventory movement using pallet jacks, and maintaining communication with supervisors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Prior manufacturing or food experience preferred
  • Ability to work third shift hours Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with occasional overtime on Fridays
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in a plant environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Operate various cooking equipment – ovens, kettles, dishwasher, pumps, etc
  • Verify correct ingredients and measure and/or weigh ingredients
  • Place products on trays and have it ready for cooking
  • Scoop/fill products into kettle and place designated ingredients into kettle
  • Monitor time and temperatures throughout the process
  • Scoop/remove all cooked products out of the kettle after cooking
  • Prepare sous vide by mixing spices, sorting sous vide on trays, placing them into racks and ovens
  • Clean and sanitize equipment/work area after each use
  • Gather veggie carts together
  • Fill containers with hot stock
  • Palletize boxes
  • Run pan wash machine
  • Utilize pallet jack to move totes and loads
  • Communicate pertinent information to Supervisor
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety rules and procedures
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Follow all environmental protocols as applicable
