Job Description

Late Night Slice is a dynamic and fast-growing pizza restaurant that originated in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Ohio, in 2009. Known for its vibrant and quirky personality, it has rapidly become one of Central Ohio's most recognized and beloved break-out brands in the culinary scene. The establishment prides itself not just on its delicious, unique take on pizza but also on its vibrant culture that celebrates individuality, personality, and a fun, inclusive work environment. Late Night Slice is not your average pizza joint; it values independence and offers a space where team members can express their own style and swagger while collaborating as a tight-knit crew. The culture here is the cornerstone of their success, and the company places great emphasis on choosing team members who are enthusiastic, hardworking, and team-oriented. They look for individuals who not only want to deliver excellent food but also a memorable experience to every customer that walks through their doors.

The Kitchen Lead role at Late Night Slice is a crucial leadership position for someone energetic and spirited who thrives in a late-night, fast-paced kitchen environment. This role goes beyond simple food preparation and cooking; it involves managing kitchen operations to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout the night. A Kitchen Lead will oversee all kitchen activities including food prep, cooking, and presentation, maintaining adherence to standard recipes and portion control to keep quality and costs in check. The position requires strong organizational skills to manage inventory, scheduling, and food orders while enforcing health and safety standards and maintaining an immaculate kitchen environment. Leading by example, the Kitchen Lead will train and motivate kitchen staff, work closely with the General Manager, and uphold Late Night Slice's brand values and culture.

Working at Late Night Slice means competitive pay, flexible scheduling, paid training, no ceiling on advancement, generous meal benefits during work, branded swag, and most importantly, a culture that celebrates individual personality and encourages everyone to "Come as You Are." The ideal candidate is not just looking for a job but an opportunity to join a creative and supportive community where hard work meets fun and friendship. This role demands a committed individual who’s at least 18 years old, passionate about food, able to work late-night shifts, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation and the ability to interact cheerfully with guests in a lively environment are musts. The Kitchen Lead also plays a vital role in handling guest concerns and maintaining a positive presence on the line.

If you are looking for a kitchen leadership role where your energy, creativity, and dedication are valued, where you can grow professionally, and where the team shares a passion for great food and great times, Late Night Slice might just be the right fit for you. The company also proudly supports diversity and inclusion, welcoming people of color and LGBTQ+ applicants to apply and contribute to their vibrant culture.
